Card download licence

Copyright and ownership. All artwork in these downloads is the original work of Shirley Veater. The rights holder is Shirley Veater Designs, her trading name. The signature printed inside each card, “Shirley Veater”, is the artist’s signature. The trading name and the signature refer to the same designer and the same designs, not to two different people. Sacred Christian Works is licensed to sell the downloads. When you buy a download you are buying a licence to use the file; you are not buying the artwork or the copyright in it.

What you may do. You may:

download and keep the file on your own devices;
print the design as often as you like, at home or at a local print shop, for your own personal use;
give the printed cards away, including to family, friends, neighbours, your congregation or at a church event;
print a card for a personal occasion such as a birthday, a thank you or a church celebration.

What you may not do. You may not:

resell, rent, lend or give away the file itself, or share it online;
sell printed cards made from the file, or print cards for customers, clients or a business;
sell printed cards at a market, fair, church bookstall, fundraising stall or anywhere else. The test is simple: if money changes hands for the printed card, it is not covered by this licence, wherever it is sold;
include the file or the printed design in another product, bundle, shop, website, publication or promotion;
copy, trace, adapt or repaint the artwork for other products, or use it as the basis of your own designs;
remove or alter the credit line inside the artwork;
claim the artwork as your own.

Commercial licensing. Enquiries about printing cards commercially go through the contact page and are considered case by case. We do not publish commercial prices.

United Kingdom. These card downloads are not available in the United Kingdom. They are not sold or licensed to customers in the UK. That includes orders placed from a UK address, orders paid with a UK card, and orders where the customer is based in the UK. Any such order is void and will be refunded in full. The files are supplied only on the basis that the licence above applies and that the buyer is outside the UK.

Refunds and faults. This is a digital product, so a refund is not available once the file has been downloaded, other than for a faulty file or a download that cannot be completed. If the file is corrupted, does not open or does not print, contact us through the contact page and we will replace it or refund it. Refunds are not given for colour differences. Every printer and every paper prints slightly differently, and that is normal.

Printing and quality. You are responsible for printing. Print quality depends on your printer, ink, paper and settings. Our print guide explains the settings we recommend. Card stock between 160 and 250 gsm gives the best result.

Download window. Your download link stays active for 365 days and allows 10 downloads. Keep a copy of the file on your own device. If you lose the file after that window, contact us through the contact page and we will help where we can.

Licence duration. The personal use licence above lasts indefinitely for any printed copy you have made. The download window is separate and is described above.
